Yoga students often ask
for recommendations about DVDs. Yoga DVDs differ greatly in
style and also in their assumptions about the viewer’s level of
experience. There is a wide variety of DVDs on gentle yoga,
restorative yoga, yoga for stress reduction and yoga nidra (a
guided, progressive relaxation sequence), all of which emphasize
relaxation. You may want to buy or borrow
(check at your public library) a
few different DVDs and see which ones you like best. Sometimes the
viewer comments on websites that sell these DVDs can be helpful.
